NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship 2027–2028

The NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship supports PhD students whose research advances accelerated computing. Awards are up to $60,000 each, covering stipend, tuition and mandatory fees, and are paid through your university. Fellows also work with NVIDIA researchers, complete an in-person summer internship before the award year, and can present at GTC San Jose. It is open to full-time PhD students, including international students, who have finished their first year and are actively doing thesis research in computer science, computer engineering, system architecture, electrical engineering or a related area. Research areas range from generative AI, language models and robotics to computer graphics, computer architecture, security and quantum computing. Internships take place in the United States, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Israel, Taiwan or Singapore. Past recipients typically have several publications, and at least one strong publication is advised to be competitive. The application needs a research proposal of up to 2 pages (plus bibliography), your CV, 2–3 recommendation letters (one from your thesis advisor) and confirmation that you can do the internship. Applications open September 30, 2026, and everything, including letters, is due by October 30, 2026. Winners are told on January 15, 2027.
